Founding Story
T&M was built on the backs of my father, Ted, and my uncle, Mark, as a vehicle to continue their legacy and the values they instilled in me – hard work, perseverance, integrity and a people-first mentality.
About The Founder
Victor Kostecki
Victor grew up in a working-class Polish family in the Chicago area, where he continues to live today.
Prior to founding T&M Succession, his work has focused on supporting small businesses. Most recently with Arbor Investments, an operationally-focused private investment firm that partners with founders of food & beverage companies. Prior to Arbor Investments, Victor spent time at a number of investment, advisory and operating firms focused on the lower middle market. In these roles his experience spans investment underwriting, M&A, financing, and operations. He has worked extensively with management teams to implement growth and operating efficiency strategies to drive value.
Victor is passionate about making a positive impact on his community, serving on the Associate Board of the NorthShore University Health System, and helping contribute to its mission of improving healthcare outcomes. He has also dedicated time to programs supporting child literacy in Chicago and local food banks.
Outside of work, Victor enjoys skiing, golfing, and cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks, Bears, and Cubs!

T&M's Process

1
Introductory Call
Week 1
In our initial call we will get to know each other and determine if a partnership would be mutually beneficial. Any information shared will be kept strictly confidential.
Please contact Victor at victor@tmsuccession.com to schedule an intro call.
2
In-Person Meeting
Week 2
After our introductory call, we will schedule a face-to-face meeting so I can better understand your goals and your business. At this point, I will ask for additional information to help me evaluate your business and provide an estimate of its value. I will produce an NDA to facilitate the exchange of confidential information.
3
Written Offer
Week 3
Within a week after our meeting I will send you a Letter of Intent (LOI) outlining the proposed terms of our partnership, including a valuation of your business. My aim is to provide an offer that is fair and favorable to you based on the goals you shared with me. If accepted, the LOI will serve as a road map to closing.
4
Due Diligence
Weeks 4-15
In this phase we will work together to produce the information needed to close, including for legal documentation and financing. At this point, I will request the help of trusted legal, financial, tax, and insurance advisors that specialize in small business transactions to help with the completion of final and confirmatory diligence.
5
Closing
Week 16
Upon completion of due diligence, we will finalize legal documentation and I will transfer you funds via wire. We will work together to establish a post-close plan for a smooth transition. Typically, this will require at least 3 to 6 months of your time post-close in a part-time capacity.
